Just a picture, but what a picture

This is Lake of the Woods. It comes from the Camp Loll alumni website.
You can also check out the blog.

I love looking back through the pictures and remembering the days of working under tall pines. I don't as if you can really describe those days to anyone who never experienced them. You went to work in the most beautiful place on earth, and you made some of the best friends you will ever have. You never made much money, but you made wonderful memories and good character.

I'm so glad you got that info. After I sent it to you I realized I should have just emailed it. I really need to get Delose pictures from '95 and '96. Dan has talked before about maybe he should have been a school teacher so we could forever work at camp. An intriging idea.

Amen to camp. It is sometimes almost overwhelmingly sad to me to think of the gropus of friends I have had at camp, and the times that I can never have again. But at the same time, the absolutely joyful feelings that I had while I worked there, can't be taken away.

Its hard to move on, but its great to be able to look back and smile.

Thanks for the beautiful picture. Just seeing pictures of our beautiful Loll brings back the feelings of peace, happiness and of feeling whole again. I know I sent you that Helen Keller Quote, but I think it reallly is applicable. "What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, For all that we love deeply becomes a part of us." I think this is true of many of our life experiences. Thanks for the reminder of one of the things I am most thankful for, my experiences and the chance I had to spend so much of my time in the middle of one of God's amazing masterpiece's.
Love you.

Amazing the impact a few brief summers can have on your life. I love Camp Loll for being an endless supply of great memories, for making me who I am, and for giving me the best friends in the world.
